Kyle, His Family, and Our Mission

Kyle Scott ran for Harris County Treasurer in 2022 and has served as a Trustee of Lone Star College. He is running for the HCAD Board of Directors to continue fighting for taxpayers. He is a father, husband, small business owner, and educator. He is a professor of entrepreneurship at Sam Houston State University and involved with several small businesses. He began his career as a high school teacher before serving on the faculties of Miami University, Duke University and the University of Houston.

Kyle received a BA from the University of Texas at Austin, PhD in political science from the University
of Houston, and an MBA from Rice University.

Kyle and his wife were born and raised in Spring, TX where they currently reside. Their daughter is a
sophomore in high school and their son is a college freshman. They have been members of Trinity Klein Lutheran Church since 2010.

In 2023 voters approved a proposal to expand the HCAD Board of Directors by three members to be
elected in a countywide election. Currently, all members of the HCAD Board are appointed by the taxing entities in Harris County. This is your chance to have your interests represented on the HCAD Board. Your voice needs to be heard!

  • Bring integrity and fairness to the property valuation dispute process.
  • Improve efficiency in property valuation arbitration.
  • Bring transparency to assessment decisions.

Taxpayers deserve to have their voices heard. Taxpayers deserve fair treatment when disputing their
property taxes. Taxpayers deserve board members who represents them.

A Vote for Kyle is a vote for accountability, transparency, and integrity from a family man we can trust!
